Dorothy Stafford, Lady Stafford (1 October 1526 – 22 September 1604) was an English noblewoman, and an influential person at the court of Queen Elizabeth I of England, to whom she served as Mistress of the Robes. Dorothy Stafford was the second wife of Sir William Stafford, widower of Mary Boleyn. She and her family sought exile in Geneva during the reign of Mary I to escape the persecution of their Protestant religion. The Protestant reformer John Calvin stood as godfather to her youngest son.

Mary Boleyn (* 1499/1500 in Blickling Hall, Norfolk; † 30. Juli 1543 in Essex) war eine englische Hofdame und Schwester der englischen Königin Anne Boleyn und des George Boleyn. Während eines nicht genau bekannten Zeitraums zwischen 1520 und 1525 war sie die Geliebte von König Heinrich VIII. von England, bevor er sich ihrer Schwester zuwandte. Sie diente sowohl Mary Tudor als auch deren Schwägerin Katharina von Aragón als Hofdame, fiel aber unter ihrer Schwester Anne Boleyn aufgrund einer heimlichen Heirat in Ungnade und verbrachte den Rest ihres Lebens fern vom Hofe.
