Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (عبد الله بن عبد العزيز آل سعود / ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Āl Saʿūd; * 1. August 1924 in Riad; † 23. Januar 2015 ebenda) war ein saudi-arabischer Politiker und Regent. Vom 1. August 2005 bis zu seinem Tod war er absolutistischer König und Premierminister Saudi-Arabiens. Dadurch war er ebenfalls der Oberbefehlshaber des saudischen Militärs. Bereits seit November 1995 hatte er als Kronprinz faktisch die Staatsgeschäfte geführt, nachdem sein Halbbruder, der damalige König Fahd ibn Abd al-Aziz, einen Schlaganfall erlitten hatte.
Abdullah war der 15. von 37 Söhnen des Staatsgründers König Abd al-Aziz ibn Saud in der offiziellen Geburtsfolge. Zwei seiner potenziellen Thronnachfolger, Kronprinz Sultan ibn Abd al-Aziz und Kronprinz Naif ibn Abd al-Aziz, starben vorzeitig.

Hessa bint Trad Al Shalaan (Arabic: حصة بنت طراد الشعلان) is a Saudi royal and the wife of King Abdullah who was the ruler of Saudi Arabia between 2005 and 2015. There are many reports stating that she was his favorite spouse.
Princess Hessa is from the Ruwallah tribe and her father, Trad, was a nephew of Nuri Al Shalaan, emir of the tribe. She is the founder and president of the National Home Health Care Foundation. She established the foundation in Riyadh in 1997 to provide care for the patients with terminal illnesses upon their discharge from public hospitals.
Princess Hessa has eight children with King Abdullah, including Prince Faisal and Princess Abeer. The others include Prince Mansour, Princess Haifa who is the wife of Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Princess Reema, Princess Seeta, Princess Sara who is the wife of Fahd bin Badr bin Abdulaziz and Princess Naifah. As of 2020 Prince Mansour was the chairman of the Knowledge Economic City Company which runs the King Abdullah Economic City.

Sheikha Al Anoud bint Dahham Al Fayez (Arabic: العنود بنت دحام الفايز; born 1957) is a Jordanian noblewoman and former Saudi royal. She is the daughter of one of the sheikhs of the Al-Fayez clan from Bani Sakher, Sheikh Daham bin Dardah Al-Bakhit Al-Fayez and his wife Gutnah bint Mithqal Pasha Al-Fayez, daughter of the paramount Sheikh of the Bani Sakher.
She married King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 1972 when she was 15 years old and he was about 50 years old. They divorced in 2003 and she has since then lived in London, United Kingdom. The King reportedly soured on her because of their inability to produce a son. She is the mother of four daughters: Jawaher, Hala, Maha, and Sahar Al-Saud. Her daughters were held captive by the Saudi regime, prompting Sheikha Al Anoud to call on the international community to help them. In 2021, her daughter Hala died. Her daughter Maha died six months later.
